Vice Consul Mark Bliss, from the U.S. Embassy in La Paz, visited the Centro Boliviano Americano in Cochabamba on the morning of 25 March as the presenter for the program “Meet Someone Interesting.” The Vice Consul told the crowd of approximately 60 students about growing up in the Mid West, about his hometown and about his education and employment prior to joining the U.S. Department of State. He also provided valuable information concerning the visa process

After the presentation the vice consul addressed a variety of questions, ranging from American and Bolivian cinema to career choices to differing visa types available for entry into the United States to relations between the United States and her neighbors in the region.
The CBA has devised this program in an effort to bring native English speakers before their students so that the students will have the opportunity to hear English spoken in this context. PAS supports this initiative with the U.S. Embassy Speaker Program
